Like a billion lights, shimmering and burning brighter than any star ever hoped, it crashed. The ARK. In that singular moment, when the skies burned, as the night was as day, it fell. And there was only destruction in its wake. It was Doctor Ivo Robotnik's last act of cruelty.
The Earth was scorched, and ashes rained for months. Chaos.
The Greater Tokyo Council showered their benevolence upon the land of the Rising Sun, however, and worked to restore their nation. Electricity and running water were repaired and maintained in most of the city, and storehouses distributed food to its people.
But that only lasted so long. The food began to run out, and it was no longer freely offered. Systems were left unchecked, and the denizens of Neo-Tokyo grew mad with each passing day. Anarchy ensued. Gangs rose prosperously in this time, fueling dissent between the people of the government. Eternal Darkness. Violators. Darkstalkers.
To combat this growing, violent force, the GTC authorized a select few to organize Teams to combat this rising power. Holystrike was the first, followed by Thunderforce and, finally, Silencer's Wind.
Months passes, with minor infractions kept in check. Larger gang activity prevailed, however, as teams lacked the numbers of their counterparts. Over time, odd contraptions started to appear. Robotic creatures of different shapes and sizes. Little thought was given them in those early days..That is, until the first bodies were found, burned and scorched until falling still and stiff, faces twisted up in the agony of their last moments..
